Introduction
The Budget Committee is a Mandated (ORS 294.336) Special Committee that reviews and approves the County budget, limits the amount of tax which may be levied by the County and establishes a tentative maximum for total permissible expenditures for each fund in the County budget.

Membership
The Budget Committee is composed of an equal number of Board of Commissioners (5) and an equal number of lay citizens (5). There is a 3 year term, ending December 31, for each member.
