Capital Projects The Capital Improvement Fund was established Spring, 1989, as a non-operating fund. The fund is intended to meet major capital requirements of the County's buildings and computer systems. The Lane County Board of Commissioners has approved specific projects focusing on fire/life/safety requirements as the highest priority, followed by preservation of County assets.

Maintenance To provide functional, clean, safe building environment including: emergency repair and damage control, environmental conditioning for people and equipment; structural, mechanical, and custodial maintenance and repair for 9 public facilities totaling 485,000 sq ft, continuous cooling system maintenance for the Regional Information Systems (RIS) computer center; energy consuption monitoring; lighting and electrical maintenance; compilation of repair and maintenace records and cost history; liaison between County and outside contractors and consultants; facility care, regulation compliance, fire protection; and repair and renovation project managment.
