The Roads Advisory Committee (RAC) is scheduled to meet  and deliberate on the draft CIP on March 28, 2012. As of March 16, 2012, seven written comments were received. RAC heard a testimony at the public hearing held on February 22, 2012. The received public comments have been forwarded to the RAC. The complete RAC packet can be viewed by clicking the links below.

Staff will request the RAC for a recommendation on the Draft, which will be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners for adoption in May 2012. The BCC is tentatively scheduled for the second public hearing on May 9, 2012 prior to adoption. The public hearing date, time, and location  will be announced in the Register Guard and updated on this page.

Draft CIP 13-17 Released for Public Review

The Lane County Roads Advisory Committee(RAC) at their January 25, 2012 meeting released the Draft Lane County Capital Improvement Program Fiscal Years 2013 thru 2017 (Draft CIP) for public review in anticipation of comments / testimony at the Public Hearing scheduled for February 22, 2012. A separate notice will be posted on this page soon announcing the hearing location and time. The RAC is also accepting written comments received at the address given below. Staff will forward written comments received by March 16, 2012 to the committee which is expected to deliberate on the Draft CIP  and provide a recommendation at their March 28 meeting.

The released documents can be accessed via the links below. The RAC memo provides a brief overview of the CIP. Attachment 1 to the memo is the Executive Summary and tables showing Road Fund allocations and construction schedule. Attachment 2 is the Prioritization Matrix tool discussed in the memo. Attachment 3 provides detailed project information such as project scope, cost, funding sources  for each project listed in Attachment 1.

CIP Kickoff Meeting

The Lane County  Engineering and Construction Service Division  and Transportation Planning Division  (TP) staffs discussed the Capital Improvement Program (CIP)  FY 2013-17 scope on December 14, 2011. TP staff received the general direction at the kickoff meeting and prepared a draft CIP 2013-17. Staff will present a draft to the Roads Advisory Committee (RAC) at their January 25, 2012 meeting.
